Heftless for Android

The same idea for a phone: what every app really takes up, what removed apps left behind, screenshots and received media you will never open again, duplicates and look-alike photos. A review step before anything moves, and everything can be put back for 30 days.

It is an APK for now, not on the Play Store. 4.1 MB, Android 11 or later. Updates arrive inside the app, from this site, and Android confirms each install itself.

Installing

  1. Open the downloaded APK. Android asks once to allow installs from your browser.
  2. Grant photo access when Heftless asks. Usage access is a toggle in Android Settings; Heftless opens the page for you.
  3. Deep scan, which reads all of shared storage, is optional and off by default.

What it never does

Delete anything outright. Media goes to Android's own trash, everything else to Heftless's, both for 30 days. Automations only measure and notify, and each has a switch. No accounts, no telemetry, nothing leaves the phone.
